Standing Seam Metal Roof Restored at BNA Cargo Terminal for Embraer

December 15, 2022

At the BNA Cargo Terminal for Embraer, TLC Pro Roofing applied a 10-year American WeatherStar Met-A-Gard system to a standing seam metal roof that had suffered storm damage. The upper sections of the roof were compromised, leading to leaks near the hangar walls. These leaks posed a potential risk to the mechanics and equipment inside the facility. The Solution: A Complete Roof Protection System To address these issues, we implemented a multi-step solution: Seam Sealing: A heavy mastic was applied to all seams, creating a solid, water-tight seal that prevents any moisture from penetrating through the roof’s joints. Acrylic Coating: An Acrylic base coat followed by a top coat was then applied to form a durable shield against heat and environmental elements, ensuring the roof remains protected for years to come. The Met-A-Gard system not only resolves existing leaks but also prevents future weather-related damage. Additionally, the new coating helps regulate temperatures, keeping the interior cooler and ensuring that airplane mechanics inside the hangar remain dry and comfortable. Quality Craftsmanship and Attention to Detail Our crew efficiently completed the job while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship. The ease of the spray-on system, combined with meticulous attention to detail, allowed us to deliver a seamless finish. The restored roof now provides long-term protection against the elements and ensures the facility operates smoothly.
